Also known as the "UNC" editions, these Jordan 1s are the third colorway designed by Virgil Abloh and made in collaboration with his Off-White label. The sneakers come in a white, dark powder blue and cone colorway, with a white and blue deconstructed leather upper and Off-White detailing throughout.
This latest deconstructed Jordan 1 includes the famous UNC colours, as the name suggests. Michael Jordan attended the University of Carolina, where he polished his abilities between the hoop before moving on to the worldwide stage and became the world's most influential basketball athlete.Virgil Abloh incorporates all of his unique style cues into this high-top design, as he did in the previous two versions. A sewn-on tongue runs over the sidewall, and the "AIR" logo is imprinted on the midsole.
Inspired by Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘UNC’ carries a classic two-tone composition, filtered through Virgil Abloh’s unique design prism. The process involves taking a white leather base with dark powder blue overlays and adding embellishments that convey an expressive, handmade quality. They include detached Wings, a floating Swoosh, and lines of text on the medial-side quarter panel delineating the taxonomy of the shoe.
